Privacy Policy

1. Introduction and Scope

Compounded is a health-optimization and wealth publication operated by Genius Marketing FZ (“Company,” “Publisher,” “we,” “us,” or “our”), registered in the United Arab Emirates (Dubai Internet City / TECOM). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect information when you visit our website, subscribe to our newsletter or SMS alerts, or otherwise interact with our services (the “Services”).

We operate in line with the UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on the Protection of Personal Data (PDPL) and, where applicable to our users, with the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (“CCPA/CPRA”), the Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA), the CAN-SPAM Act, and Federal Trade Commission (FTC) guidance. Our servers and service providers (including Beehiiv) may be located in the United States. By using the Services, you agree to this Policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Information you provide directly. To subscribe, we require your email address. If you opt in to time-sensitive alerts, we collect your mobile phone number. We also collect information you provide when you contact support. We do not require extensive medical histories, legal names, or physical location for standard access.

2.2 Information collected automatically. When you use our website and emails (delivered via the Beehiiv platform), we automatically collect:

  • Email engagement data: through tracking pixels/web beacons, whether and when you open a message and which links or topics you engage with (for example, cellular longevity vs. cognitive optimization), so we can tailor our content to your interests.
  • Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, network routing, and date/time stamps, used for analytics and to filter out automated/bot traffic and preserve platform integrity.
  • Cookies and similar technologies: used to manage sessions, remember your preferences, and measure our own site and campaign performance (see Section 8).

2.3 Supplemental information. Where lawful, we may supplement the email you provide with limited professional or business attributes from reputable data providers to improve the relevance of the content and offers we send. We use this information for our own internal segmentation only; we do not use it to sell or share your personal data (see Section 5).

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Deliver the Services: send you the reports, newsletters, and SMS alerts you signed up for, covering health optimization, longevity, and related wealth topics.
  • Personalize content and offers: segment by interest (for example, hormone optimization vs. sleep architecture) and include products, services, and offers that may interest you. Some products or offers featured in our content are provided by third parties with whom we have a commercial relationship, and we may be compensated when readers act on them (see our Terms & Conditions). This never changes the price you pay, and it does not involve handing your personal data to those third parties for their own marketing.
  • Analyze, improve, and secure: understand aggregated trends, measure effectiveness, improve the Services, and ensure our network remains free of automated manipulation.
  • Comply with law: meet our legal obligations and prevent fraud and abuse.

4. SMS Marketing and Communications

4.1 Consent and message types. If you provide your mobile number and opt in, you agree to receive recurring automated marketing and informational text messages from Compounded, which may include research releases, optimization alerts, and promotional offers. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchasing any product or service.

4.2 How consent works. Your SMS opt-in constitutes your prior express written consent under the TCPA to receive automated/autodialed text messages from us. You may withdraw consent at any time.

4.3 Frequency and cost. Message frequency varies with our content schedule. Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier.

4.4 Opt-out and help. Reply STOP (or UNSUBSCRIBE, QUIT, END, or CANCEL) to any message to stop marketing texts; reply HELP for assistance. You may revoke consent by any reasonable method, and we honor opt-out requests promptly and within the timeframe required by applicable law. We observe applicable messaging time-of-day restrictions based on your location.

4.5 Non-sharing of mobile data. Your mobile phone number and SMS opt-in data are never sold, rented, leased, or shared with any third parties, affiliates, or partners for their own marketing or promotional purposes. This is a strict, standing commitment.

5. How We Share Information (Non-Sharing Commitment)

We maintain an uncompromising no-sale position regarding your contact data, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing. We disclose information only in these limited ways:

  • Service providers / processors: trusted vendors who process data solely on our behalf and under contract — for example, our email platform (Beehiiv Inc.), hosting, and analytics providers. They are contractually prohibited from using your data for their own purposes.
  • Pass-through model: we feature third-party offers within our content, but we do not hand over your profile to those partners. Data reaches a partner only if you independently click an external link and arrive at their site, at which point their own privacy policy governs.
  • Legal and safety: where required by law or valid legal process, or to protect our rights, our users, or the security of the Services.
  • Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this Policy.

We do not sell or share your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and mobile/SMS data is subject to the strict non-sharing commitment in Section 4.5.

6. Legal Basis for Processing (UAE PDPL)

We process personal data on the basis of (a) your consent, given when you subscribe to the newsletter or SMS alerts; and (b) our legitimate interests in operating, marketing, and securing the Services in a manner not overridden by your rights.

7. Cross-Border Data Transfer

We are based in the UAE, and our service providers (including Beehiiv) may store or process data in the United States and other countries. By using the Services, you consent to the transfer, processing, and storage of your data outside your country of residence. We rely on standard contractual clauses and encryption to protect your data consistent with the UAE PDPL.

8. Cookies, Analytics, and Your Choices

We use cookies and similar technologies for essential site functions, to remember your preferences, and to measure our own site and campaign performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings. We honor recognized opt-out preference signals, including the Global Privacy Control (GPC), as a valid request to opt out of any sale or sharing where applicable. We do not use third-party advertising cookies to share your data for others’ cross-context behavioral advertising.

9. Your Rights and Choices

9.1 All users (UAE PDPL). You may request access to, correction, or deletion of your personal data (right to be forgotten), restrict processing for specific promotional categories, and withdraw consent at any time.

9.2 California residents (CCPA/CPRA). You have the right to know, access, correct, and delete personal information; to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information; and to limit the use of sensitive personal information. We do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under the CCPA/CPRA. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. You may exercise these rights, including through an authorized agent, using the contact details in Section 13, and we honor the Global Privacy Control.

9.3 Verification. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request.

10. Data Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes described here or as required by law. In particular, we retain records evidencing consent (including SMS opt-in) for at least four (4) years, and opt-out/suppression records for as long as required to honor your choice, up to ten (10) years, consistent with applicable law.

11. Children’s Privacy

The Services are intended exclusively for adults (18+) managing their own health and finances. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18; any such data inadvertently collected will be deleted. Subscription requires confirmation that you are at least 18 years old.

12. CAN-SPAM Compliance

Every marketing email we send identifies the sender, includes our physical postal address, and provides a functional one-click unsubscribe mechanism, which we honor promptly.

13. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time by posting a revised version with a new “Last Updated” date. Your continued use of the Services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
